Steps of Japanese Learning

Our curriculum, based on the Framework for Japanese-Language Education, builds proficiency step by step from beginner to advanced. Regular assessment and support help each student reach their goals.

STEP 1

Placement Check

We assess your level on entry and place you in a class that fits you.

STEP 2

Building Foundations (Beginner–Pre-Intermediate)

Learn the Japanese basics needed for daily life, developing all five skills in balance.

STEP 3

Strengthening Practical Skills (Intermediate)

Move beyond the basics and raise your Japanese to express yourself more concretely.

STEP 4

Advancing Application (Upper-Intermediate–Advanced)

Develop the ability to organize and present your opinions on advanced topics.

STEP 5

Reaching Your Goal (Further Study / Employment)

Practice interview Japanese and business manners toward your goals.

Proficiency Level Goals

Our classes develop all five skills — listening, speaking (presentation), speaking (interaction), reading, and writing — while building the ability to use Japanese appropriately in daily life, further study, and work. Progress is checked against Can-do based goals from the Framework for Japanese-Language Education, through regular exams and performance assessment.
